It is aimed at an audience of ages 9 and up and it is strongly influenced by the short-lived US PBS show of the same name.</p> <p>Carmen Sandiego and her vile henchmen have entered the ACME Time Net, and made off with the Chronoskimmer. The player must use the time tunnels Carmen left behind to track down the thieves to prevent them rewriting history. The player is accompanied by a different guide for each time zone, as they travel through 19 different eras.</p> <p>In each time zone the player meets and talks to historical figures from the era, and must solve puzzles to help them and learn about the era. The goal is to find the item hidden by Carmen Sandiego's henchmen, and to pick up pieces of the notes left by Carmen Sandiego in the each zone. The player has an inventory, and can pick up and manipulate items. The player must use their time cuffs to arrest the culprit, and move on to the next time zone.
